delegate in charge of Maghreb and African affairs and Mauritanian expatriates Khadija M'barck fall, Bouaida added that the visit by her Mauritanian peer to Morocco is part of an orientation based on the shared political will by Morocco and Mauritania, under the leadership of HM King Mohammed VI and Mauritanian president Mohamed Ould Abdel Aziz.

Bouaida noted that the meeting, which is of paramount importance given the strategic, historical and brotherly scope of ties between Morocco and Mauritania, was an occasion to examine bilateral cooperation in the security, political, economic and cultural fields.

The talks were also an opportunity to prepare for the Moroccan-Mauritanian joint committee, slated in Morocco under the chairmanship of the head of government and Mauritanian prime minister, she said.

For her part, the Mauritanian official said that her visit to the Kingdom is crowned with success and seeks to give impetus to bilateral cooperation.
