HRH Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan Chairs in Meknès Opening of 11th SIAM





Meknès - HRH Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan chaired, on Tuesday in Sahrij Souani in Meknès, the opening of the 11th edition of Morocco's International Agriculture Fair (SIAM 2016), which will run from April 26 to May 1 under the patronage of HM King Mohammed VI on the theme "Resilient and Sustainable Agriculture". During the opening ceremony, HRH Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan, who was accompanied by Sheikh Hamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, president of the office of Abu Dhabi’s Crown Prince, awarded prizes for best quality and origin to eight farmers-producers.
Afterwards, His Royal Highness visited the different stands of the fair and was given details on the products exhibited at the "Regions pole", the "Morocco's Agriculture Pole", the "Sponsors Pole", the "Mechanization Pole", the "Local Products Pole" and the "Breeding Pole". His Royal Highness also toured the poles of "Agricultural Products", "Agri-Supplies", "International" and "Nature".

Upon his arrival at the fair, HRH Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan reviewed a detachment of the Royal Guard who paid the honors and was greeted by agriculture and fisheries minister Aziz Akhannouch and minister delegate for the interior Cherki Drais.

HRH Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan was also greeted notably by the chief of the UAE delegation, guest of honor of the 11th SIAM.

The 11th edition of Morocco's International Agriculture Fair (SIAM 2016) brings together 1200 exhibitors from 60 countries.
